MatchesVignesh Puthur is a young left-arm wrist spinner from Kerala. He attracted the scouts with his unique action and was roped in by Mumbai Indians for INR 30 Lakh at the 2025 TATA IPL Auction before even making his debut for Kerala in domestic cricket. His IPL debut was proof of why he was rated so highly by MI as he picked up the big wickets of CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and Deepak Hooda in Chennai. Before his season was cut short due to an unfortunate injury, Puthur took six wickets in the five games he played at an impressive average of 18.16. While MI released him ahead of the 2026 season, RR roped him into their squad for INR 30 Lakh. Still only 25, the youngster now has another opportunity to showcase his skills at the biggest stage.
